Budget: All bills come crashing in at the same time which can be very stressful. Instead of setting a budget first, don’t set a budget until you shop around. After you set a reasonable budget, monitor your spending.

References: Whoever you hire (whether it be a caterer, videographer, or wedding planner), get references first. See examples of their work and find a website. If you cannot find references, don’t hire that person or company.

Hiring: Follow your gut when hiring someone. You will worry about your decision if you don’t. Only hire those with whom you are comfortable.

Booking: Always book early!
